Information Rights User group

The minutes of the user group meeting from the 25th Oct (post publication of the Frontier report) are now online and do indicate a little more detail than previous minutes. Some opposition is registered to the proposed changes to the fees regime (though not attributed to names). One point worth highlighting:

She (Baroness Ashdown) welcomed further comments in writing and was very willing to discuss the matter with other groups. She was very keen to keep the Group informed of developments and to engage with them on the issue. It was proposed that at the next meeting the Group would discuss the drafting of the regulations and guidance.

This would appear to indicate that a draft statutory instrument in the form of new fees regulations could be presented on the 14th December. This does mean that anyone who wanst to send comments to the DCA or lobby on this issue should do soon....
